Taco Cheese Dip

1/2 pound (8 ounces) processed cheese spread, cut in small pieces
1 can (4.5 ounces) chopped green chiles
1 package (1.25 ounces) Taco Seasoning
1 1/2 cups sour cream
tortilla chips

Microwave Oven:

  1. Combine cheese, chiles and Taco Seasoning in a 1 1/2-quart microwave-safe bowl. Microwave*, uncovered, on HIGH 4 minutes or until cheese is melted, stirring after 2 minutes.

  2. Stir in sour cream (microwave 30 seconds to heat through, if desired). Serve hot with tortilla chips.

*Cooking time based on 1000-watt microwave oven.

Stove Top:

  1. Combine cheese, chiles and Taco Seasoning in a medium saucepan. Cook and stir over medium-low heat until cheese is melted, 6-8 minutes.

  2. Remove from heat and stir in sour cream. Serve hot with tortilla chips.
