This recipe is similar to the King’s Inn Tartar Sauce recipe which is a family style seafood Restaurant along the sparse south Texas Coast. Families drive for miles to sample their seafood. This is great with fried or broiled seafood, sliced tomatoes or on crackers.
1 medium onion, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, finely chopped or pressed
1 Cup sweet pickle relish
1/4 Cup stuffed olives, chopped
1 (2 1/2 oz.) jar chopped pimientos
1/4 roll Ritz crackers, crushed
5 saltine crackers, crushed
1 to 5 jalapenos, chopped (I use 2)
1/8 tsp. curry powder
2 Cups mayonnaise
Blend all ingredients together and chill until ready to serve.
Yields: 4 Cups
