Tarter Scause For Fish

I’m looking for a good recipe for tarter scause (for fish) not using miracle whip. It’s alwasy to sweet. Any suggestions??:smiley:


I don’t know if this will do -

(about 1-1/4 cups)

1 cup mayonnaise
1 tsp mustard, preferably Dijon or Dusseldorf
2 tbsp finely chopped sour pickles (cornichons)
2 tbsp finely chopped drained capers
1 tbsp finely chopped chives
1 tbsp finely chopped tarragon (optional)
Lemon juice

Combine mayonnaise and mustard and all the chopped ingredients. Stir in lemon juice to taste.

If sauce seems too thick, it may be thinned by beating a little cold water into it.

Serve with fish and shellfish.
