Split a loaf of French bread lengthwise or a baguette, and scoop out some of the bread leaving a 1/2-inch “shell”.
Combine equal amounts (1/2 c. each) of cream cheese (softened) and ricotta cheese; add oregano, basil and garlic to taste; spread on bread halves in “wells”. Top with pizza or spaghetti sauce, top with chopped red onion, sprinkle with Parmesan or Pecorino Romano, or an Italian cheese blend.
Place on baking sheet and bake at 375* F. for 30 - 35 minutes.
