Triple Fudge Cake

1 box Devils food cake mix (2 layer)
1 small box chocolate pudding (not instant)
1 small pkg. chopped pecans
1 small pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Cook pudding as directed on package while pudding is hot, mix in the devils food cake mix (dry). Mix well by hand, pour into a greased 13 X 9 pan, sprinkle pecans and chocolate chips evenly on top, bake at 350° F. for 30 minutes, serve warm with ice cream.
If you really want to serve a chocolate lovers delight, pour homemade hot fudge on top.

Hot Fudge Delight:
1/2 cup butter or margarine
2 squares (1 ounce each) unsweetened chocolate
2 cups sugar
1 cup light cream or evaporated milk
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

In a saucepan, melt butter and chocolate. Add sugar, cream, corn syrup and vanilla. Bring to boil, stirring constantly. Boil for 2 minutes. Remove from the heat. Allow to cool, will thicken as it cool. Serve warm or cold over ice cream cake. Refrigerate leftovers.
Yield: 3 - 3 /1/2 cups.
