I have recently been given 6 tuna steaks, they look great, but I don’t know how to cook them. Can anybody help?
are frozen tuna steaks ( I know they aren’t as good as fresh, by far, but they were free) okay to eat at a Mid Rare doneness? or should i cook them all the way through?
I believe eating previously frozen tuna med-rare is fine. In fact, I think the freezing is supposed to make undercooked (or raw) fish safer-- it kills parasites. My advice? Don’t overcook your tuna. I’ve cooked previously frozen tuna steaks medium rare, and it’s always been fine. So don’t worry too much.

Thanks for the help!
Smoke them in a smoker, like Salmon. I like them better!
