UPSIDE-DOWN GERMAN CHOCOLATE CKAE

1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
1 c. chopped pecans
1 c. coconut
8 oz. cream cheese
1 1/2 sticks (3/4 c.) melted margarine
1 egg
1 lb. Confectioner? sugar

Grease 13 X 9-inch pan; line with wax paper; grease paper. Sprinkle pecans and coconut in pan. Mix cake mix as directed on package. Pour on top of pecans and coconut leaving 1/2 inch around edges of pan. Mix together cream cheese, margarine, egg and confectioners sugar. Spread this on top of cake mixture. Bake 350* F. about 45 minutes or until cake pulls away from edges of the pan, but is still “soft” on top. (Top will look like it is not done but will firm up as the cake cools.)
