Wanted: Your Best Recipe for anything calling for cooked ham.

I cooked a 20 pound ham for New Year’s day, I’m in need of recipes
to make use of all the left overs.

Any help you can provide is appreciated.

Thanks,

Frank

Take my Sausage and corn chowder recipe and try that inside of the sausage

I take a piece of it and make ham salad or in a pot I put some ham, potatoes, greenbeans, onions, carrots or whatever else you like, seasonings cook until veggies are tender. My family loves it.

How about a breakfast/brunch bake ? cut up some of that ham , add some chopped green onions , peppers, a cup or so of shredded cheese, some leftover french fries or hash browns , even tater tots will work, mix up some eggs = about a dozen with a cup or so of milk pour over the rest in a sprayed cake pan ,cover with foil, bake at 350 about an hour - til set in center. You could even jazz it up with a few bits of broccoli or gorgazola cheese , bits of tomato too, use your imagination and what ever you have on hand

I start with 2 pints of heavy whipping cream warm until starts to thicken.
To this I add 1 stick of butter stir to melt and about 1 tsp of basil or 4 leaves of fresh chopped basil leaves. This will start to thicken I then add the ham apx. 1 cup small diced pieces and 2 cloves of crushed garlic and 1/2 cup diced onion. let that cook until onions are soft you must stirr often. to this I then add 1 cup sliced mushrooms let them cook a few minutes then add to this 1/2 cup parmesian cheese (I prefer the shredded kind) stir to melt then add 1/2 cup monteray jack cheese shredded. Then when that melts I add 1/2 to 1 c. of chopped italian or plum tomato. stir and cook just until the tomatoes are warm. If the sauce seems to thick you can always add some dry white wine. I have also used balsamic vinager (just a few drops.) enjoy

Here is a great dish that is good cold or hot and can be eaten for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
