Also: simmer rhubarb, strawberries, sugar, AND what liquid and how much of it?

Today’s recipe “Rhubarb-Strawberry Mousse&#8232”
has a couple of errors. I have the ingredients in the house… including the Kirsch!
We are told to simmer rhubarb, strawberries, and sugar. There must be a liquid missing.
Also puzzling is “finely diced” is followed by 14 digits/figures. Thanks.

Kirsch is cherry brandy,which is done with the method of double distillation.It is a clear,colorless fruit brandy produced in the traditional double distillation Morello,dark sour cherry cultivars.
