White Cheese Dip

I brand new so this might have been answered already. My family eats at a Mexican restaurant that has white cheese dip. Its not spicy and its a little thin. I cannot find this anywhere. Thanks

I purchase an excellent restaurant-style Mexican white cheese dip at Sam’s Club. This is the only place I have ever found it. I have tried several recipes at home but none have been what I have been hoping to find.

I know what your talking about, that sauce is so good. My husband tried to clone with white cheddar and pickled jalapenos it was very good. I’ll get the recipe for you. lisa

I don’t know if this is what you’re looking for, but it might be worth a try. I can’t post an attribution, as I didn’t record the source.

Queso Blanco Mexican White Cheese Dip

Many restaurants with chips or hot flour tortillas for dipping. This is a basic recipe that uses ‘Jack’ for the TexMex version and Chihuahua and/or Asadero for the more traditional Mexican version.

1 cup monterey jack cheese or asadero cheese or chihuahua cheese, shredded fine
4 ounces green chilies
1/4 cup half-and-half
2 tablespoons onions, chopped fine
2 teaspoons ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 serrano pepper, chopped fine (optional)
1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped fine (optional)

  1. Put all ingredients in a double boiler and heat on medium.

  2. Cook until melted and well blended, stirring occasionally.

  3. Serve with fresh tostadas or hot flour tortillas.

Have never had this, thanks for posting, sure sounds like it would be good to try.

what is the name of it?
