WW2 ROOKIE COOKIES

ROOKIE COOKIES (World War II recipe using available ingredients)

Beat: 2 eggs
Add: 1 1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon Mapleine while still beating.
Combine: 1 cup flour, sifted
1/4 cup rolled oats
1 cup raisins
½ tsp salt
1 cup chopped walnuts
Add: to egg mixture. Beat well.
Drop: by teaspoonfuls onto a paper-lined cookie sheet. Use
wrapping (butcher) paper. Do not grease.
Bake: 8 to 10 minutes in 400 F oven. Cool slightly. Turn paper
and cookies over. Wipe paper with damp cloth.
Makes 30 cookies.
