Yummy Tangy Barbecue Sauce

3/4 cup apple cider vinegar
3/4 cup ketchup
1/4 cup water
1/3 cup brown sugar
3 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 cup tomatoes, pureed (I use something called sugocasa and it works well)
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1/4 tsp. salt
Tabasco to taste (optional)
Combine all ingredients and simmer on low for 15-20 min. If you want the sauce thicker (we like it thicker) than thicken it with 2 Tbsp. cornstarch mixed with about 1/4 cup cold water and let come to the boil until thickened. This makes a whole jar and is good on chicken and pork.
