Zesty Beef Stroganoff

A delicious comfort dinner that is appealing to the whole family. Who do you want to spoil? Even a novice cook can be “a chef for a night with this easy recipe!”


1 1/2 lbs tenderized blade or sirloin steak, cut into 11/2 inch strips
3/4 cup beef broth
1/2 cup of sliced mushrooms (white, oyster or portebello)
1 medium onion chopped
4 cloves garlic minced
1 tablespoon of Farm Boy’s creamed horseradish
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tsp of dried rosemary or 1 fresh sprig
3/4 cup of Farm Boy’s salsa
1/4 cup whipping cream
1/2 cup of parmesan or romano cheese
Fresh rolls or buns

Heat oil in skillet and saute garlic, onions, horseradish, mushrooms and rosemary. Coat beef strips lightly in flour and add to pan. Saute until browned. Add beef broth and simmer until beef is tender (up to one hour). Increase pan heat to medium-high and add salsa, stirring well.

When a light boil has been reached add the whipped cream and mix well. Simmer for 5 minutes without a cover. Stir in cheese, cover and remove from heat. Serve immediately over hot noodles. Serve with salad and fresh rolls.
