7-UP Pound Cake

Hi,

Has anyone got a recipe for 7-UP cake??? I need this for an Easter Party at our church next Saturday evening.

I need it from scratch, I was told to bring an unusual cake. It is not so unusual to me as I use to make them all of the time but lost the recipe.

7-Up Pound Cake

1 1/2 cups of butter
3 cups of sugar
5 eggs
3/4 cup 7-Up
2 tbs lemon extract flavor
3 cups of flour ( I use cake flour)
1/2 teaspoon salt

  1. cream butter
  2. Add sugar half cup at a time.(beat until creamy
  3. Add eggs, one at a time beat until yellow disappears
  4. Add flavor
  5. Gradually add flour, alternate with 7up beat until all
    flour is well blended.
  6. Pour into greased and flour Bundt pan. Bake for 1hour and 10
    min. at 325 degree. Let cool for about 20 min. before you
    remove from pan.

Again you have come to the rescue. It is almost like my Mother made except she used a little more sugar to make the outside crunchy. I make this today for us and it is sooo goood, I put a bit more sugar maybe a 4th of a cup sugar it made the outside Church. Thank you so much for your help.
