Two perfect pies for the holiday celebrations!

And I love raspberries!

The pies sound so good, think I will make both of them as we have some sick neighbors that would enjoy something home made for the holiday both can’t get out and one loves chocolate the other loves raspberries so I will make 4 two for us and one for each of the neighbors. I was looking in the just dessert forum for a nice pie to make for them that was different.

Southern Belle,

I replied to this posting a few months ago and now i don’t see my reply…

I had said how kind of you to make pies for your sick neighbours and wondered how the pies turned out and if your neighbours enjoyed it.

Hi Rho,

The pies turned out terrific and the neighbors loved them. So did we and I am gonna to make more this week for us and maybe a neighbor, Keep up the wonderful baking!!!

Thanx for the recipes.

glad you enjoyed them. it’s apple season. made 2 apple pies last week. yummy.

Talk about apple season - last week I made a “quickie” just rolled out the crust on a baking sheet, placed my apple mixture in the middle and folded the ends up!! And I am dying for apple strudel - so that is on the agenda for this week! I’ll probably make 2 - one with raisins and one with craisins and I think I’ll drizzle a bit of white icing on top for a little change.
