Aunt Ruth’s Strawberry Pretzel Dessert
3 Tbsp sugar
2 cups crushed pretzels (not to fine)
3/4 cup melted butter or margarine
1/2 cup powderd sugar
1 (8oz) pkg. Cool Whip
1 (8oz) pkg. cream cheese
2 cups miniature marshmallows
1 (6oz) pkg. strawberry gelatin
2 1/2 cups boiling water
1 (10oz) pkg. frozen strawberries
Mix first 3 ingredients in a 9 x
13 pan. Bake 15 minutes at 350* -
will look bubbly. Set aside.
Cream softened cream cheese, add
powered sugar. Fold in cool Whip,
then fold in marshmallows. Spread
over baked layer of pretzels.
Dissolve gelatin in boiling
water and stir in berries. Chill
until slightly thickened. Pour over
cheese layer and chill until firm.
Serve cold.
