Barbecue Chicken Pizza Recipe
Source Chef Jay of the “Heat”
1 cup barbecue sauce
2 chicken breasts, boneless, skinned, chopped
2 pizza crusts, (store bought is fine, I like Boboli)
Cooking spray
1 cup mozzarella, shredded
1/4 cup green onions, sliced
2 jalapeños, diced
- Combine 1/3 cup of barbecue sauce and chopped chicken in a small bowl. Toss, set aside.
- Prepare grill for medium heat. Place crust on grill rack coated with cooking spray. Grill 3 minutes or until puffy. Turn crust, spread with half of remaining barbecue sauce.
- Top with mozzarella, chicken, green onions and jalapeños.
- Cover and grill for 3 more minutes, until cheese is melted and lightly browned.
- Repeat for second crust and toppings.
There you have it, simple chicken pizza. Of course, you can add whatever ingredients you like. Keep in mind, the toppings won’t have a lot of time to cook, so the smaller the pieces the better. Be creative and enjoy this one!
