Barbecue Cranberry Chicken

3 whole chicken breasts, skinned, boned, halved
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 tbsp. oil
1 c. ketchup
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp. grated orange peel
1 can whole cranberries or could use 1-1/2 c. frozen berries

Heat oven to 400 degrees. Grease 13x9-inch 3-quart baking dish.

Place chicken breasts in greased dish; bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes.

Meanwhile, in medium skillet over medium heat, cook and stir onion in hot oil until crisp tender. Add ketchup, brown sugar and orange peel; blend until brown sugar is dissolved. Stir in cranberries. Spoon over partially baked chicken breasts. Bake an additional 20 minutes or until chicken is tender.

Yield: 6 servings.
