Beef Barbecue

Ingredients:

1 (6-oz) can tomato paste
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup chili powder
1/4 cup cider vinegar
1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp salt
3 1/2-pounds lean stewing beef
3 green bell peppers, chopped
2 large onion, chopped
Chopped tomatoes, for serving (optional)
Lettuce, for serving (optional)
Sandwich rolls, for serving (optional)

Directions:

In a slow cooker, mix the tomato paste, brown sugar, chili powder, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce and salt. Stir in the beef, green peppers and onions. Cover, and cook on low setting for 10 to 12 hours or until tender. Shred with 2 forks. Serve with chopped tomatoes and lettuce on a roll.
