Beef Burgundy

2 lbs. Stewing Meat
2 Cans Golden Mushroom Soup
1 small can mushrooms
1/3 c. Burgundy Wine
2 t. Worcestershire Sauce
1 envelope Lipton Onion Soup Mix

Combine all ingredients except onion soup mix in a casserole dish. Sprinkle onion soup mix over all ingredients. Cover. Bake 325 for 1 hour. Stir, cover, and reduce heat to 275, baking for an additional 4 hours (stirring occassionally). Serve over noodles and with a green salad. Very easy & delicious!!

barbm Thanks for the recipe, I’ve made something similar in the past but usually use sauted fresh mushrooms (I add in at the end) BUT I’ve only used reg. mushroom soup. Thanks for the ideas of using golden mush soup AND the wine. The wine will add a great depth of flavor & I’m looking forward to trying it, thanks again. For anyone that doesn’t care to use wine, there are other alternatives such as grape juice or even apple juice that will help super charge this fantastic recipe.
