Beef Stew

Ingredients:

1 pound (or more) beef, trimmed of fat and cubed
1 envelope beef stew seasoning mix
3 cups water
3 to 4 potatoes, diced
2 onions, cut in large dice
4 carrots, sliced
1 cup frozen peas (optional)

Directions:

Place the beef cubes and seasoning mix in a paper bag and shake to mix thoroughly. Place the water, potatoes, onions, carrots, peas (if using) and beef in a slow cooker; stir to blend. Cover and cook for 6 to 8 hours on high setting. Stir.
