Beef Tortellini Soup

1 lb. beef stew meat
1 large onion, chopped
1 large carrot, chopped
1 medium celery stalk, chopped
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
2 tsp. sugar
1 can (14.5-oz.) diced tomatoes, undrained
2 cans (10-1/2 oz. each) condensed beef consommé
1 tsp. dried basil leaves, crushed
2 cups frozen cheese-filled tortellini
1 cup frozen green beans

Add beef, onion, carrot, celery, garlic, sugar tomatoes and beef consommé in order listed to 4 quart slow cooker.

Cover and cook on low for 8 to 9 hours.

About 25 minutes before serving, stir basil, frozen tortellini and green beans. Increase heat setting high. Cover and cook about 25 minutes or until beans are tender.
