Beefed - up Biscuit Casserole

1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/4 c. diced green chillies
1/2 t. garlic salt
2 t. chilly powder
1 c. tomato sauce
1 can biscuits
1/2 c. shredded cheese
1/2 c sour cream
1 egg
1 c. shredded cheddar cheese

Brown beef, onions, and chillies then drain. Stir in chili powder, garlic salt and tomato sauce. Simmer. Meanwhile, separate biscuits into half, pressing half into 9" baking dish. Mix 1/2 c. cheese, sour cream and the egg together …stir into meat mixture. Pour over biscuit dough. Put the remaining biscuits on the top and sprinkle with the rest of the cheese.
Bake for 30 min. at 3 75 degrees.
