Breakfast Sausage Roll

1 pound ground sausage
1 cup chopped onion
2 eggs beaten
1/2 cup grated Swiss cheese
1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons picante sauce
2 teaspoons parsley
1 package Pillsbury crescent roll dough sheet
1 tablespoon melted butter

Preheat the oven to 400°F.
Fry the sausage and onion in a frying pan; drain.
Add the remaining ingredients (except for the dough and butter), stir, and let cool.
Roll the crescent roll dough to ¼-inch thick.
Spread the meat mixture over the dough.
Roll it up like a jelly roll.
Transfer the roll to a cookie sheet.
Brush the top with melted butter.
Bake for 20 minutes.
Remove the sausage roll from the oven.
Slice it before serving.
