Broccoli Salad

Got this recipe out of and old magazine so old that it has turned yellow. This is not the original I have made a few changes to it.

2 lbs. fresh broccoli florets cut into bite sized pieces

1/2 to 1 lb. sliced bacon, cooked and crumbles or the salad bacon bits

2 cups (8 ounces) shredded Parmesan cheese

1/2 medium sweet onion, chopped


1 cup mayonnaise

1/2 cup sugar

2 Tbs. Balsamic vinegar or vinegar to your taste

Let marinade for at least 6 hours for the flavors to meld over night is better.
