Brown Sugar Glazed Carrots

3/4 pound medium carrots, peeled

1 tablespoon margarine or butter
1 tablespoon brown sugar
Dash of salt

  1. Cut the carrots in half, both crosswise and lengthwise.

  2. In a medium saucepan cook carrots, covered, in a small amount of boiling
    water 8-10 minutes, or until crisp-tender. Drain; remove from pan.

  3. In the same saucepan combine margarine or butter, brown sugar, and
    salt. Stir over medium heat till combined. Add carrots. Cook, uncovered,
    about 2 minutes or till glazed, stirring frequently. Season to taste with
    pepper.

Makes 4 servings.
