Buca di Beppo Meatballs

1 pound of ground beef
1 pound of ground Italian sausage
2 eggs beaten
4 cloves of garlic minced
1 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
1 tbsp oregano
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp each salt and pepper

Preheat oven to 350.
In a large mixing bowl.
Combine both meats.
Add in the garlic.
Mix in both eggs.
Pour in the salt and pepper and seasonings.
Mix in the bread crumbs.
Using your hands mix everything until completely combined.
Divide meat into 6-8 sections and form each section into a meat ball.
Place in a 9 x 13 baking dish.
Bake for 50 min.
Serve hot with your favorite pasta and sauce.

Do you mean that 2 lbs. of meat makes 4 to 5 meatballs?

About how many meatballs go into the 9 x 13 pan? What size do you make them? 1", 2" ?

The meat balls are supposed to be bigger than usual but unlikely to be that large. This recipe is just as I found it. I would do 6 if I wanted 1/3 pound and 8 if I wanted quarter pounders.
