Buying a New Crock Pot

I have narrowed my choices down to 2, I think, if anyone has used or knows anything about these two, I would appreciate any information.

Rival SCV1600B 6 Quart Premium VersaWare Slow Cooker

KitchenAid Slow Cooker KSC700 7 Quart.

Thanks

Be sure to look for and purchase a crockpot that has a removeable crock. These are a lot easier to clean after use and if for some reason the liner cracks, like making too many batches of Boston Brown Bread at too high a heat, you can order a new liner from the maker.

Right now I have two crockpots that I use. One is smaller that the other. A lot of times I used the one liner as a vessel to brine or marinate Meat or vegitables in while cooking in the other

I am looking for a slow cooker that has a programable temperature dial. I have had a few which were made by Oster, but they don’t make them anymore. I don’t like the ones that have only three settings. Someone does make them, but I can’t remember who!

I really like the Hamilton Beach model that has the meat probe… It seems like there are a lot of different options and uses for that paticular cooker. I’ve never owned a Hamilton Beach product so I’m wondering if it’s worth the money.

I desperately want a Rice cooker/slow cooker. My wife told me it was a no-go when the wedding registry time came around and now I detest the crock pot we were given (it was not the one we had finally decided on). It’s been 2 years and that piece won’t break; darn Rival and their quality products!

They sure won’t. I’m trying to find a way to convince her that it isn’t getting the job done. I figured I could have her family over for dinner and I’ll make a roast that is way too small and tell her that it was the biggest that can fit… maybe then she’ll want a bigger(new) one.
