Cabbage Salad

¾ cup oil
¾ cup white sugar
1 cup white vinegar
2 tsp celery seeds
2 Tbsp prepared mustard
½ tsp salt
1 large cabbage, shredded

Mix together oil, sugar, vinegar, celery seeds, mustard, and salt. Boil for 5 minutes. Mix with shredded cabbage. Let stand on counter for 4 hours, tossing often. Put in glass container and refrigerate. Keeps for days. You could add carrots, celery, onion, and green pepper if desired.
