Cafeteria Ladies’ Cowboy Burgers Recipe

Ingredients:

Pillsbury Hot Roll Mix
1 pound Hamburger meat
1 small onion chopped
Velveeta Cheese
Mayonnaise
Mustard
salt
pepper

Directions:

Oven: 350º
Brown hamburger and onion; add enough velveeta cheese to make a “cheesy” mixture. Salt and Pepper. Add either mayonnaise or mustard (whatever you prefer on your ‘burger’ to this mixture… to “taste”. Set warm mixture aside.
Prepare hot roll mix according to directions. Make dough mixture into about six or eight balls. Let rest for a few minutes. Roll flat and spoon meat mixture in center. Pull edges up together and pinch. Place meat filled ball seam side down on greased cookie sheet. Continue until all dough is used. Let rise about ten to twenty minutes. Bake until brown. You will probably have meat mixture left over for another batch or two… but you could be making balls all evening! The point of the whole exercise is to EAT.
