Caraway Cabbage

1 2lb. cabbage coarsely shredded
1 (16-oz.) can stewed tomatoes, undrained
1 to 2 tea. caraway seeds
2 bay leaves
2 tsp. lemon juice
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese

Combine all ingredients except the cheese in a dutch oven. Bring to a boil, cover and reduce the heat and simmer 15 minutes or until cabbage is tender. Put is a serving bowl, remove the bay leaves, sprinkle with the cheese if desired.
