Cereal Killer Cookies
Cereal Murders, mystery by Diane Mott Davidson
1 cup dark brown sugar
¾ cup sugar
1 cup butter
1 tablespoon vanilla
2¼ cups old fashioned rolled oats
12 ounces Bits of Brickle chips
1 2/3 cup flour
1 teaspoon soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
In food processor mix sugars. Gradually add butter until creamy smooth. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix flour, soda, baking powder and salt; add and process just until blended. Combine oats and chips and pour processed mixture over; stir until well combined. Measure 2 tablespoon amounts; drop on ungreased sheets 2 inches apart. Bake at 350º for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
Cover sheet with parchment paper or Silpat so cookies don’t stick. These were chewy. I mixed using traditional method.
