CHEESY CHICKEN BURGERS
20 ounces pkg ground chicken
4 ounces cream cheese
3 tbs plain bread crumbs
1 small onion, grated
1 teaspoon each salt and dried rosemary
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
2 tbs chopped parsley
1 head lettuce, separated into leaves
1 large tomato, sliced
Prepare outdoor grill or heat broiler. Combine first 9 ingredients in bowl. Form mixture into 6 patties. Grill or broil burgers 4 min. per side or until done. Place on rolls, top with lettuce and tomato.
I will serve this with toasted whole wheat buns, lettuce, tomato, and some thin cucumber slices. On the side a nice pineapple coleslaw and some iced tea with no sugar. For dessert a simple orange sherbert.
