A great in-a-hurry recipe. The tarragon gives this a bit of a different flavour.
4-5 chicken parts, skin removed (about 1-1/4 lbs, 560g)
1/2 of 10 oz can condensed onion soup
1/2 tsp white vinegar
1/8 tsp garlic powder
1/8 tsp tarragon leaves, finely crushed
2 tbsp skim evaporated milk (or light cream)
2 tsp cornstarch
1 tbsp water
Arrange chicken in single layer, meaty side down, in ungreased 2-quart casserole.
Stir next 5 ingredients together in small bowl. Pour over chicken. Cover. Bake in 350 F for 1 to 1-1/2 hours until tender. Transfer chicken to bowl. Keep warm.
Stir cornstarch into water. Mix into juice in casserole. Boil in microwave to thicken or if using a metal pan, heat and stir to boiling on burner.
