1 pkg brown gravy mix
1/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 lb chicken breasts
1 Tbsp vegetable oil
1 large onion, cut into thin slices
2/3 cups sherry wine
Prepare gravy mix according to pkg directions and set aside.
Combine the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper in a ziplock bag and shake to mix. Drop the chicken in the bag and shake to coat with the flour mixture.
Heat the oil in a large skillet over med heat. Add chicken and cook until brown on first side. Add onion to skillet. Turn chicken over and cook until browned on the second side and onion rings soften.
Add the sherry to the skillet with the chicken, stirring and scraping and loose bits. Add the prepared gravy and stir well to mix in the sherry and to coat the chicken.
Good over mashed potatoes, rice or pasta.
