3 pounds beef
2 tablespoon oil
1 each tomatoes, can
1 cup coca-cola
1 each onion, chopped
1 each spaghetti sauce mix
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
Directions:
Brown meat in oil for ten minutes on each side; remove to crockpot. Drain fat. Break up tomatoes in their juice; add remaining ingredients, stirring until spaghetti sauce mix is dissolved. Pour over meat. Cover; simmer until meat is tender. Thicken gravy; serve over sliced meat.

Good recipe but don’t you think, we can use something else than coca cola?
I tried a recipe with a Pork roast in a crockpot, Coke,onion and a can of mushroom soup…it turned out wonderful…nice gravy.

Ya’ know, back in the 1950’s or so, car mechanics actually used Coca-Cola for cleaning their tools, and soaking car parts, like carberators. I’ve seen it work.
Maybe there’s a meat tenderizing process occuring here that I’ve not heard of. Makes sense…
