Coconut Cake

7 egg yolks,2 cups sugar,1/2 cup wesson oil,1/2 cup butter,1 1/2 cups milk,3 cups selfrising flour,1 1/2 teas.coconut flavoring. Cream all togather,bake 350*until done to toch.Makes three layers (9)inch. Icing Boil 2 cups of sugar,3/4 cup water to soft ball stage.Beat 7 egg whites until they hold a peak.Then beat syrup in continue beatin until whites hold a firm peak,will take several minutes,ice cake put coconut in between layers,on top and sides.This has won blue ribbons.
