Today’s 5 star secret recipe comes from Colonia Publica in Whittier, California. This stylish Mexican gastropub is popular for its micheladas and modern cantina plates. At Colonia Publica they’ve created a twist on the michaleada called an Ipa-Lada. This drink takes muddled cucumber, lemon juice and sugar and mixes it with fresh grapefruit juice. This is then poured over a grapefruit IPA like Ballast Point’s Grapefruit Sculpin. You can substitute your favorite grapefruit IPA in this recipe.
Enjoy!
