Cracker Barrel's Hashbrown Casserole

So easy to make - this rich casserole with cheese, a touch of sour cream, onions, and more is always a favorite at Cracker Barrel.

2 lbs. frozen hashbrowns
1/2 cup melted butter
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 pt. sour cream
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 cups grated cheddar
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 cups crushed cornflakes
1/4 cup melted butter

DEFROST hashbrowns.

COMBINE next 7 ingr. and mix with hashbrowns.

PUT all in a 3 qt. casserole.

SAUTE cornflakes in butter and sprinkle on top.

COVER and BAKE at 350 for about 40 min.

Thanks for the recipe. My husband is hopelessly addicted and the nearest Cracker Barrel is about 40 minutes away. Have you ever used fresh potatoes or “Simply Potatoes”?

We’ve used fresh potatoes…but not Simply Potatoes. The fresh potatoes give it a nice dimension compared the frozen hash browns. But I’m easy to please anyway.

This is great! I cook for a Pre-School and the kids will LOVE it!

Nice recipe, you can’t go wrong with Cracker Barrel. Hash brown casseroles are great, this one sounds tasty and easy too.

I use cream of mushroom soup and make it for large crowds, goes like wildfire.

What’s the best way to save and print recipes?
