Crescent Sausage Rolls

1 lb. bulk Italian pork sausage
1 pkg. ( 8oz. ) cream cheese, cubed
2 tubes refrigerated crescent rolls
Small amount garlic powder & Italian seasoning, to taste

  1. In skillet, cook sausage, garlic powder and Italian
    seasoning; drain.

  2. Stir in cream cheese until melted.

  3. Separate each tube of crescents into 4 triangles; seal
    seams and perforations.

  4. Spread rectangles with sausage mixture; roll up jelly-
    roll style starting at the long side.

  5. Place seam side down on greased cookie sheet.

  6. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes or until
    golden brown.

  7. Let stand 5 minutes before cutting each roll diagonally
    into fourths.

    • Can also use ham, pepperoni slices, etc.

      These are easy to make and great as an appetizer.

I like to make something similar, but using pizza dough and without the cream cheese (which is an interesting addition!).
