Deep Fried Jello

Okay - now that I’ve got your attention -
heck - we all know you can’t deep fry jello!
Maybe as an ingredient in something - but not actual jello.

Time to think outside the box - this is a nice syrup for pancakes, waffles, desserts, ice cream, etc. Orange syrup over pancakes with mandarin orange pieces throughout the batter is good. Or try blueberry or strawberry or pineapple, etc.

PANCAKE SYRUP WITH JELLO
As a gift from “your kitchen” …

1 small pkg. of Jello (any flavor)
½ cup sugar
2 Tbsp. corn starch
1 cup water

Mix the dry ingredients, then add the water. Mix. Boil until it thickens to the right (“syrupy”) consistency. Put into pretty bottles and decorate for gifts.

Enjoy!!

Ohhh how funny!! You got me on that one. Thanks for the recipe, it gave me alot of ideas too.

you can deep fry jello seen it done

imma have to try this out sometime. this is like the new deep fried koolaid crave right now. they have it at local fairs.

nice one KW. Before I even clicked on the link I said “psshh, what?”

It’s already been done. Check out state fair trailers for Deep Fried Jello, Deep Fried Koolade and Deep Fried Stick O’Butter.

There is a restaurant in Rockville Indiana that deep fries everything on the menu. I don’t remember what it is called but saw it written up in a travel guide.

Had to smile when I saw your heading…deep fried jello…as our local news this pm was just talking about a guy mixing dry kool-aid with some type of batter & frying it. Thought you had come up with a better dea using jello instead.

Actually, I think your jello syrup recipe sounds good, love the idea of using it as gifts.

I tried finding those, I’m not seeing it. Sounds horrible but I have to see it… i have it.

i know Chicken Charlie at the fairs out here in L.A. and OC has all that stuff fried.

That was an intelligent act . . .
Now i am also thinking outside the box.
