My dog did not do well on commercial canned foods so I made my own
after consulting with others. This recipe was given to me by a friend years ago.
1 whole chicken- cooked & boned - use 1/2 @ a time with following ingred.
2 C long grain brown rice \
1/2 C barley / Cook in 12C water
3- cloves garlic- finely chopped \ Bring to a boil
1/8 tsp. cheynne pepper & \ then add to rice cummin \ and chicken and simmer
4 carrots- cut up / 1 1/2 hours.
1 zucchini - cut up /
2 onions - chopped /
1 lg. beet - chopped /
Makes 5 qts. Divide into small portions (depending on size of dog),
put in freezer bags. Suggested to add Dicalcium Phosphate 2 tsp to 1#
