A simple and tasty breakfast/brunch treat.
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
1 tablespoon granulated sugar or honey
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
makes 4 servings
40 minutes total (approx.) … 15 mins prep
Mix flour, salt and milk well.
Add sugar then eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Melt butter in the oven in an ovenproof baking dish or cast iron pan.
When butter is completely melted and pan is hot, Pour in batter and bake at 425 F for 25 minutes.
Serve with maple syrup, jam or powdered sugar with a squeeze of lemon, top with sliced fresh fruit of your choice.
