I got an email yesterday with a link to make corn on the cob minus the corn silks.
The older gentleman put 2 ears of corn in the shucks in the microwave for 8 minutes. He took them out with oven mitts and cut off the big end and held by the small end and a silkless ear of corn slid out.
I happened to remember that I had 2 ears of corn I had been meaning to use, but had remained in the fridge for several days. I did just as he described, and it WORKED!
