2 rolls of cheap refrig biscuits. Take a glass pie plate (ours is 10 inch deep dish) spray with a little Pam, put the biscuits in the pan and up the side and smush them together so there are no holes (get your kids to do this lol my Mom always had me do it)
1 pound ground beef, browned. (you can put a little onion in with the beef), then put enough spaghetti sauce in the beef just so it is held together but not soupy. You just are using the sauce as a binder. At this point mom adds in cooked mushrooms to the mixture.
Then take the mixture and put it ontop of the biscuit pie shell. Top with cheese. We usually do a mix of shredded cheddar and mozzarella.
Bake it at the temp it says on the biscuit package, and for as long as the package says, but you might have to bake it longer so the biscuits are done and golden brown.
Cut it like a pie to serve and have it with a salad.
This recipe we got from our local grocery store YEARS ago. The original version had sliced tomatoes on top of the beef but under the cheese.
