English Breakfast Cookies

2 c. brown sugar
1 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 c. cold coffee
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. raisins
1 c. walnuts

Cream sugar and shortening; add eggs. Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with coffee mix. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes in a large jelly roll pan. When cool, frost with thin layer of powdered sugar frosting. (Could be made with cold coffee.) Spread in a jelly roll pan.
