Falafil with tahini sauce

Ingredients:

Chickpeas / Channa-1 cup dried
Onion-1
Cilantro / Coriander leaves-1 cup
Mint leaves / Pudina-1 cup
Garlic-4 cloves
Cumin powder/Jeera powder-1 tsp
Coriander powder / Malli podi-2 tsp
Chilli powder-1 tsp
Pepper powder-1 tsp
Baking powder-1 tsp
Lemon -2 tblspn
Salt to taste
Breadcrumbs- ½ cup
Oil for deep frying

For Tahini Sauce:

Tahini-2 tblspn(Recipe below)
Lemon -1 tsp
Garlic-1 clove grated
Salt to taste

Preparation:

For Making Tahini:

Take 1 cup of sesame seeds and toast it in a pan till it gets light golden and toasted…Take it in a blender and powder it…Add some salt and grind it again…Pour some olive oil through the funnel and blend it till it gets smooth and creamy…Store this in fridge…

Method:

Take chickpeas,onions,cilantro,mint,garlic,chilli powder,coriander powder,cumin powder,pepper powder ,baking powder,salt,lemon juice in a blender and make into a smooth paste.

Tip this into a mixing bowl and add in some bread crumbs and mix well.

Make this into shape of vadas and fry them in medium hot oil till golden brown.

Serve it with tahini sauce…

For Tahini Sauce:

Mix tahini,lemon juice,garlic and salt till it gets into a smooth sauce…Serve it with falafil.
