Frosty Apple Bites

Makes about 4 1/2 dozen cookies

2 cups sifted all- purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 cup butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 unbeaten egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
2/3 cup evaporated milk
1 cup walnuts chopped
1 cup pared chopped apples
1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate morsels

Sift together, flour, soda, salt and nutmeg.

Gradually add butter and brown sugar and cream well.

Blend in egg and vanilla and beat well.

Add dry ingredients alternately with the 2/3 cup evaporated milk, beginning and ending with dry ingredients, blending well after each addition.

Stir in the walnuts, apples and morsels.

Drop by teaspoonfuls onto lightly greased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes.

Frost while warm.

Cinnamon Glaze: Combine 2 cups sifted powdered sugar with 3 tablespoon melted butter and 1 teaspoon cinnamon.

Add 2 to 3 tablespoons evaporated milk until of spreading consistency.
