Guess everyone here has me thinking about kitchen gadgets!

Who remembers (or still has) the old metal french fry cutter. Ya know, that contraption you’d put a potato in, then press the handle down & perfectly sliced potato wedges would pop out the front? Do they still make those?

Also who still has or uses a food mill? Mine has to be 45 years old & is still in perfect condition. I’ve used it to make applesauce every year. I now have my mom’s also & hers has to be 60 years old & is also in perfect condition.

Anyone else remembering old type gadgets?

Come to think of it, I do have my egg beater. That must be what is taking up so much room in my gadget drawer! it’s still in really good condition & dates back to my “kitchen shower” in 1974 before getting married.

The old potato french fry cutter is still with us. Only yesterday when channel surfing I came upon an infomercial of an upmarket version of the mandolin featuring the french fry cutters.
