German Chocolate Caramel Brownies

One 6 ounce can of evaporated milk
1 package of German chocolate cake mix
1 cup of chopped nuts
One 11 ounce bag of caramels
3/4 cup of margarine, melted
One 12 ounce package of semi-sweet chocolate morsels

Melt 1/2 cup evaporated milk with caramels until smooth; set aside. Stir cake mix, remaining milk, nuts and margarine (to make dough). Press half of dough into 13 x 9 x 2 inch greased and floured pan. Bake at 350ºF. for 6 minutes. Sprinkle chocolate chips over baked dough. Top with caramel mixture. Spread remaining dough over top of caramel. Bake at 350ºF. for 14 - 18 minutes
